Walking across a bridge in London
The sign, from the Samaritans, said: “talk to us if things are getting to you”. Now I’m going to make some assumptions about its origins, but it seems to be a brilliant bit of multichannel service design.
Prevention
The sign and many like it around the world have been designed as a preventative measure – the last ditch attempt to help someone in their time of need as prevention advocates state that suicide ‘by bridge’ is often an impulsive decision. The signs, positioned relatively discreetly across the entirety of the bridge uses great content design, placement, and a free contact number to reach out to potential users at their hour of need.
