Adobe DPS can be tricky to get your head around at first, but once you get used to it, it is really quite powerful. Shared on this page is range of things I initially had issues with. Hopefully it’ll help you overcome them quickly without spending a lot of time pulling your hair out.
Putting a video behind a button
You can place a video on a page that plays within its container or full screen. The one thing I initially couldn’t figure out was how to place a video behind a button.
In order to do this place the video on your page on top of the shape you would like to act as a button, but *important* open the media panel, select “none” for the poster image, and select the option to play the video fullscreen. Then when someone clicks on your button, the video will open. Et Voila.
Placing a twitter feed/timeline into a folio
Its actually pretty well explained here: magpla.net/2014/05/19/twitter-timeline-in-10-easy-steps-using-adobe-dps/
Charts
Adobe Edge
I pulled my hair out with edge initially as it required to do a lot of manual work in order to get a lot of charts into a folio. Dare I say, I also found it quite temperamental. But that could just have been me being a novice.
Javascript Charts
ChartJS
After wrangling with it for the best part of the day it started to make sense, and then I found: charts.livegap.com, a visual chart creator. An absolute god send for non-coders like myself.
