It might sound funny, or at least it did to me when I thought of it, but my dream job is… to redesign Oracle.
Its not sexy, or cool, but its a bloody pain in the ass to use, and as a UX designer, all I want to do is make things easy to use, and users happy to use them.
Oracle expenses for example is used by a multitude of large organisation. Its expensive, and powerful, but not very user friendly on the front end. Sure, accounting will love the fact that they have the numbers in exactly the way they want it, and reporting is a breeze. However, for someone to input data for an expense, the workflow is a right royal pain, and there is no consistency. It depends on the implementation.
I would love to work on the UX of Oracle to makes it easy to use, and user friendly.
