At the JWT building in Knightsbridge yesterday graphic designer Vince Frost presented a cut down version of his prolific career highlights as part of typocircle monthly lecture.
Notes of particular interest were –
The london design festival logo design where he was inspired by the shape of an Iconic landmark – the route master bus, which was turned on its head to form the main shape of the logo design.
The gymbox logo that he had presented to a client who rejected it but an uncannily similar version was eventually used for their branding. With the only effort to distinguish it from his original by calling it “gym box” instead of “box gym” which he had suggested.
