Where are we mobile?

A lot of people think that we are primarily using our mobiles when on the go. However stats from Luke W show an interesting graph of what times people are using specific devices tells a very different story.

We tend to using our tablets throughout the entire day, compared to smartphones where we switch off around hometime/dinner time, and are checking our smart phones intermittently throughout the day. Interestingly we stay up with our tablets the latest, and from the statistics it looks like the last thing we check at night.

With tablets still only being a small proportion of the connected devices, It’s not yet widely targeted (but don’t get me started on the fact that the kindle uses my lock screen to serve me advertising)

However, it’ll be interested to see what the main activity of users are at nighttime, and how businesses and advertisers start to target tablet users late into the night.
